We Swap out Halloween for Harvest🍂🍃🦃

IMG_5518.JPGEvery year around this time, my family and I find better ways other than the massive normality to celebrate the season of Fall. Rather than carving pumpkins, we use them to create delicious desserts and roasted seeds. Instead of Trick or Treating, we gather with food and celebrate The Most High and all that he continues to bless us with.

Fixing Our Hearts One Step At a Time…

Step 1,

1 Peter 2:2

Like newborn infants, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation

Step 2,

Matthew 18:3

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Step 3,

Psalm 131:2

Surely I have composed and quieted my soul; Like a weaned child rests against his mother, My soul is like a weaned child within me.

Step 4-7… Coming soon💝

Deuteronomy 6:5-9

5 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”

The Importance of shaking the dust from your feet

There comes a time as disciples where we have clear instruction on how to handle those whom reject the truth. I am a firm believer in L.O.V.E (Live Outstandingly , Value Everything) with a humbled heart of course. So life is Oh, So important to me! When I would come to a juncture of having to accept a situation as it is or someone for who they are… Those that choose to remain stagnant in their being or comfortable with their mindset that contradicts the will of God, my heart suffers. Jesus tells us multiple times in such scriptures as Matthew 10:14,  Luke 9:5 and Mark 6:11. Within Mark 6:11 in particular, Jesus says, “And if any place will not welcome you or listen to you, leave that place and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.” You see, it is not our place to judge others… We are here to serve, love and assist in salvation. Shaking the dust off of our feet is a firm choice to leave it at the feet or in the hands of God, as it should be when it’s too heavy. (Matthew 11:28-30)matthew11_30

When at that point, God calls us to stand firm (Ephesians 6), proclaim truth, and give patient testimony. Sometimes the need to continue until we see the results of that testimony is of upmost importance. Other times God gives us the freedom to move on as we figuratively “shake the dust off our feet”. When under the Holy Spirit’s direction, we surrender those people to the Lord and emotionally let go. We have the freedom then to move into the next phase of ministry. Jesus’ instruction to “shake the dust off our feet” reminds us that we are only responsible for our obedience to God, not for the results of that obedience. We are free to walk away with a clear conscience, knowing we have done all that we could do… BUT GOD!

(Luke 1:37) For with God nothing shall be impossible… (1 John 4:4) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

So let’s stand firm family in expectation of great things to come no matter what! Rose colored glasses and all❤️

Moving Forward

I’m so proud of myself… To God be all the glory! I took some time out today to just scroll through and read everything I have ever posted on The Foundation’s website and couldn’t help but smile. This morning as I was braiding our son’s hair for school, The Lord gave me a song to sing that has been on my heart all day! God is on the move, on the move, HALLELUJAH, God is on the move in many mighty ways! God is on the move, on the move, HALLELUJAH, God is on the move, on the move today…in each and every nation, God is on the move! 2017 is a year of restoration for all of us! Keep your heads high, keep chasing your dreams, keep God first and watch everything fall into place! This year has been one of the hardest years of my life! But God is a God of restoration and peace. As I lay basking in The Lord’s presence I am constantly reminded of his faithfulness… This is where I desire to be… Ultimately.

Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Freshness Unfolded- Super Fruits

All Super Fruits contain Antioxidants, fiber, vitamins and minerals. Some of these on the other hand are exotic and may not be readily available at our neighborhood market as a fresh fruit when outside of their remote locations. However, I’ve had the pleasure of finding quite a few in local Farmers Markets. Some also come in a dehydrated/ dried state or a powdered concentrate. These rarities may be composed of polysaccharides, contain species specific phytonutrients and may also offer distinct properties as adaptogens (energy restoratives) NOW… Let’s boost our immune systems!

The Ins And Outs of Water Infusion

image From the moment I found out about infused water I was instantly intrigued! Infusing is a very simple practice especially when you know the preliminary basics to a great infusion.

Always  begin with the best water possible. Alkaline is ALWAYS my first choice, we will touch on the importance of alkalinity vs acidity within our bodies in a later post.

Artesian and Fresh Spring water are great choices as well. Stray away from tap and purified. Ensure your water is cold. We don’t want any food safety issues as the infusion process takes time… Temperature control is very important. Always fill room temperature or cold water (NOT HOT) with your fruits, vegetables, herbs, florals etc… You don’t want to compromise their solidity or the release of their nutrients.

Know that soaking times vary per item and/or group

Softer berries such as strawberries and melons begin to look messy and some lose color after just a few hours. Remove them when this happens. Unpeeled Citrus such as lemons create very bitter water if infused longer than 4 to 6 hours. Remove them as well then add fresh slices of these types of fruits for display purposes soon before serving.

Ice cold is best

Anything left warm longer than 2 hours will become a food safety hazard. Pay special attention to the temperature of your water.

Softer fruits like citrus and strawberries can be sliced thick, thin, halved, or quartered. Harder fruits like apples should be sliced very thin because they take longer to release flavors.

Use a muddler or wooden spoon to crush items such as herbs, ginger root and vanilla bean to release their oils and flavor. Tea infusers are best for loose herbs and florals.

Water infusion not only hydrates our bodies but  can combat free radicals, clear acne, resolve constipation, encourage hair and nail growth and increase our vitamin and nutrient intake for the day all while increasing the alkaline level of our bloodstreams with the use of the proper water and food combinations… Just to name a few.

So remember my loves, eat healthy, drink healthy, be healthy and live a healthy and fulfilling life by implementing this daily or weekly process to your diets! It’s fun, easy and super delicious!!!!

Why I write

11130328_10152879410558520_4141108900164751322_oWriting has always been my way of expression from within. A way for me to break through. When I was a little girl I was so shy and insecure, I had to use my journal as a way to open up and release the beauty radiating from within. Whether that beauty was from drawing and designing or teaching and reacting, I loved it!! Now, that I have become a Queen, a Wife, a Young Mother of 3 handsome princes as well as an inspirational journalist, ambassador of love and an advocate for Peace and unity… This new vessel of writing is my obsession under God.

When I pick up my favorite girly girl pencil or my pink( yes it really is pink😊) laptop and release, I begin to soar mentally.

With this venture just being the beginning, I’m so thankful for each and every one of you who find your way to my page… Which is My life… The Glittered Pink Foundation is My Forever and My forever will always be my writing. I’m currently working on my first book. Its release has yet to be determined… but I’ve decided to make it known. It will be a connection from my heart and experiences to yours. A story of life, love, trials and triumph.
